GIRLS OF GOLD
What is “Girls of Gold”?
Gift-based Opportunities for Leadership Development
This program is designed to give high school students a competitive edge as they look toward the college application process. The process of discovering gifts and interests related to the art form that they love will act as a catalyst to propel them toward career paths after high school graduation.
Students, who choose to participate, will register for the class which will take place once each week with extra bonus opportunities throughout the year. During the class, a staff member will teach them about an area of the studio or ask for their assistance in completing a studio-related task.
Areas of learning will include: Media (social media, marketing, web design, music editing), business (mission-based business; data and ordering, inventory, and online tools), ministry/human services (outreach to families, bible lessons), science and kinesiology (injury prevention initiatives, snack barre menu planning), art and engineering (construction of props and scenery), education/curriculum development/classroom management.
Any student wishing to serve on ROG student staff as a student teacher or other role must first complete a minimum of 1 year of the Girls of Gold curriculum.
